The Humans In Midst Of Sixth Mass Extinction Event

Massive Development   

With in last two century human has reached massive  developments in life style, economy, transportation and weaponry systems. Innovators lead the development by supplying new technologies and new products. The increase in global population follows a flat line for most of human history but suddenly, at the turn of the industrial revolution, the line climbs up like a mountain. The same shape shows in economy, transportation and weaponry systems. 

Massive Destruction 

Sadly, a graph showing, the line shifts to nearly vertical - destruction of our environment would have the same shape and would lead to our demise. What else is threatening that future? Our newly acquired abilities to destroy each other with nuclear weapons and lethal synthetic biology are both terrifying. CRISPR, a gene-editing technology, for example, could be used to help eradicate disease or it could be used to cause harm, such as by genetically modifying bird flu to become airborne.

The human threatening their future by them self. In recently there are many ways to human could be destroyed. People can be destroyed by using nuclear weapons against each other, lethal synthetic biology CRISPR, a gene-editing technology, for example, could be used to help eradicate disease or it could be used to cause harm, such as by genetically modifying bird flu to become airborne. 

Artificial intelligent also can be a hidden fact, threat to human existence. Think that nanorobotics attacks and drown attracts are done by terrorists or use them in dirty ands for their dirty works. Hundreds or thousands can be die in this way.  

Cutting the rain forest and burning fossil fuels is cause to heating the atmosphere. In the present time the creatures extinction rate is up to 100% faster than normal rate. In this path, at least three quarters of the known species extinct from Earth. This prosses starts with some animal species loss, their habitat loss, and those leads to destroy the natural order of  things happened such as the food chain and soil fertility.    

How to survive from the Extinction

1) Slow human population growth

 More people means more food, more land and more resources. Continues population growth drives to earth extinction. The human population was 4 billion in 1980 and now it is so close to double of that amount. The average American contribute about 10 times as much as a average Indian, contribute to climate change population per year. We continuously release harmful thing as plastic to the oceans. As World Economic Forum says We dump the equivalent of one garbage truck of plastic into the ocean each minute.

2) Rewilding

 Rewilding means the area impacted by human intervention returning back to  its wild state. Reforestation, nature restoration and reintroductions are roads to rewilding. To stop extinction of  human and other species, directly revers those impacts done by the human and target to return ecosystems to their natural state. The goal of rewilding is to reverse the drivers of the sixth mass extinction by addressing all five of them under one unified concept of returning a place to the 'wild' - to a place of pre-human intervention, where lost habitat is replaced, pollution is removed, over-exploitation is halted, invasive species are controlled, and the effects of climate change are mitigated. 

 

3) Individual reactions    

 It`s easy to feel small and unable to do any thing against sixth massive extinction but every person do what he can do that will be a huge effect for the environment. Eco friendly constructions, garbage manage without bad effects for nature, creating the groups for stopping the extinction and engage with conservation groups are some of individual actions any one can take. The support can supply in many ways, from spend time and abilities as volunteers, supply technical expertise or financial donation.

Last words for humans 

Humans are not endangered species still. But without other species and nature people cant survive alone and people already know it. They forget it when they react. Nature is trying to inform that from disasters. Human destroying nature and excess consumption are road to human extinction.
